Everything in this world depends on energy for our everyday living. For instance, energy is being used for communication, healthcare solutions, transportation, home appliances, etc.
As energy plays a key role in our daily life, which is generated by destructing of the world’s most valuable life support resources. To avoid this, there are possible eco friendly energy sources, such as solar power, wind energy, geothermal power, hydropower, and biomass. Incorporating such alternative energy sources into our lives can contribute to a cleaner and greener Earth.
Solar Power as eco friendly energy source:
The energy generated from solar power is clean and economical when compared to other energy generating sources. Solar power collects energy from the sun using photoelectric cells. Though the installation is expensive, it gives more benefits with less maintenance over the years. Solar energy produces both electricity and heat without the emission of green house gases and pollution to the environment.
Wind energy as eco friendly energy source:
Turbines use kinetic energy from the wind to run the generators and generate wind power. In areas of high winds, this can be a large solution for cleaner energy.
Geothermal power as eco friendly energy source:
This is a great option for cooling and heating businesses and homes. Though the cost of installation is high, it saves hundreds of dollars on your electricity bill. Geothermal works on the principle of heat exchange.
Heat from the earth’s core generates hot water and steam, which can be used run generators and turbines. Also, some of the heat is directly used for heating requirements.
Hydropower as eco friendly energy source:
Hydropower exploits the strength of flowing water to run the generators and turbines. Wave and tidal force can also generate the green energy. Underwater turbines, dams and tidal fences can convert the kinetic energy of waves and tides into electric power. There are also experiments and researches going to find a way to utilize the heat from the ocean’s surface to produce electricity.
Biomass as eco friendly energy source:
Biomass energy is the energy generated from burning the animal products and plants. Crops, wood, manure and various types of biodegradable trash are the sources for biomass power. Also, the biomass energy source can be converted into eco-friendly fuels, along with ethanol, biodiesel, and methane.
With today’s greenhouse gasses and declining energy supplies, it now makes sense to go ahead with alternative energy sources.
